Lord Rennard Considers Legal Challenge Against Lib Dems

The Liberal Democrats could face a legal challenge over the suspension of Lord Rennard.

The peer was suspended from the party after refusing to apologise over sexual harassment claims. Lord Rennard claimed that offering the apology would have been an admission of guilt.

According to a report by the BBC Lord Rennard is understood to be taking legal advice as to whether the party has broken their own rules.

The woman at the centre of the sexual harassment claim is also understood to have refused to rule out taking legal action against Lord Rennard.

Two ministers among those questioned by police
Police have already questioned two government ministers during the course of the "cash for honours" investigation. Both Science Minister Lord Sainsbury and Trade Minister Ian McCartney have confirmed that they were questioned by police investigating the cash for honours allegations.
