Sheppey Crossing Crash Drivers To Be Given Training

Thirty two drivers are to be offered driver alertness sessions in lieu of prosecution after a crash that injured more than 200 people.

Some 130 cars were involved in a pile-up on the Sheppey crossing in September, with cars crashing into each other for over ten minutes due to poor visibility in think fog.

Kent Police have said that they believe putting the drivers through an educational course would be more beneficial than prosecuting them.
