Memorial Service To Be Held For Victims Of USAF Helicopter Crash
A memorial service is due to be held at RAF Lakenhead in Suffolk to honour four member of the US Air Force killed when their helicopter crashed in Norfolk.
Capt Christopher Stover, Capt Sean Ruane, Technical Sgt Dale Mathews and Staff Sgt Afton Ponce died on 07 January in the crash near Cley.
Families of the deceased are expected to be in attendance at the memorial being held in Hangar 7 at the RAF base. The service is not open to the public.
An investigation into the crash has been handed over to the USAF after Norfolk Police concluded that there was no evidence of criminal activity.

A memorial service has been held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Dibbles Bridge Disaster. 33 people died after a coach plunged 16ft off the bridge in North Yorkshire and landed in a garden on 27 May 1975. Only 13 people survived the crash after the brakes on the coach failed. The service was held at 6.

The event was attended by around 2,000 people, including stars such as Sir David Jason, Stephen Fry and June Whitfield, as well as fans of the comedian who had been invited to apply for tickets by Barker's family.
