IPCC Apologise To Family Of Mark Duggan
The family of Mark Duggan have received an apology from the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
The police watchdog said it "wrongly" told the media that Mr Duggan had fired on police before he was shot.
IPCC chair Dame Anne Owens met with Mr Duggan's family on Tuesday.
It is understood that the IPCC will investigate how the police "responded to intelligence", also promising to interview "key witnesses" who had previously declined to speak to police.
The news follows an inquest last week which ruled that Mr Duggan was lawfully killed by police in Tottenham, north London, in 2011.
