Average Cost Of Childcare Increases By 19%
The key statistic highlighted in the Annual Childcare Report is that the average cost of childcare throughout the UK has risen by 19 percent, according to Findababysitter.com.
This is stopping 25 percent of the UK's unemployed parents going to work.
The report reveals the true impact that the coalition government is having on UK families, including the biggest barriers to childcare, struggles with returning to work, availability and cost.
Tom Harrow, CEO of Findababysitter.com said: "Our latest childcare report revealed UK parents’ ill feeling towards the government childcare policies, so I made it my mission to understand this better. I met with MPs, who demonstrated a lack of understanding when it comes to childcare – they still think the local nursery is the only option. I created Findababysitter.com to help working parents, like me, to find the perfect, affordable childcare solutions – and since then, we’ve helped over 80,000 parents continue with their lives, rather than being restricted by their decision to have children."
