Court Hears Rigby Accused Wanted 'Martyrdom'
The Old Bailey has heard that the two men accused of murdering Lee Rigby wanted to "achieve martyrdom".
According to reports, the two men wanted officers to kill them and had brought an unloaded gun with them on the day of the attack so armed officers would be sent to the scene.
22-year-old Michael Adebowale, who has chosen not to give evidence, and 29-year-old Michael Adebolajo have denied murdering Fusilier Rigby in Woolwich on 22 May.
It is understood the jury could be retired on Thursday morning to consider their verdict.
