Paedophile Ian Watkins Jailed For 29 Years
Ian Watkins, former frontman for the band Lost Prophets, has been jailed for a total of 35 years after pleading guilty to 13 child sex offences.
In November the 36-year-old from Pontypridd pleaded guilty to 13 child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.
He was sentenced to 29 years in prison and six years on licence. He will have to serve a minimum of two thirds of his jail term before being eligible for parole.
Mother A, aged 21, was jailed for 14 years and Mother B was jailed for 17 years after also pleading guilty to a number of child sex offences. Neither woman can be named for legal reasons.
It is understood that police are continuing to investigate Watkins to establish if he had committed offences in Germany and America.
It had earlier been reported that after Watkins admitted the charges at Cardiff Crown Court he made a phone call from Parc Prison in Bridgend in which he allegedly said that he was not a paedophile and only pleaded guilty to avoid a trial.
It is alleged that in the same phone call Watkins said: "It was mega lols. I don't know what everyone is getting freaked out about." He added that no baby was harmed.
