April Jones Killer To Appeal Sentence
Mark Bridger, the man given a whole life sentence for the murder of five-year-old April Jones, is to appeal his sentence, the Judicial Office has reported.
In May 47-year-old Bridger was convicted of the murder of April Jones, who went missing from outside her home in Machynlleth on 01 October 2012.
Her body has never been found, despite the largest police search in history.
According to a report by the Sun newspaper, April's parents, Paul and Coral Jones, were told of Bridger's intention to appeal his sentence and plan to attend the first hearing at the Court of Appeal next month.

Jodi Jones Killer's Sentence Appeal Refused
An appeal to reduce the minimum term of a life sentence of convicted murderer Luke Mitchell has been refused. In 2003 the 22-year-old was given a minimum jail term of 20 years after he was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend Jodi Jones.

Detectives in Glasgow are continuing enquiries after a woman was indecently assaulted on Saturday in the Govan area. The 37-year-old woman was in a car park at Water Row, just off Govan Road, at around 8.30pm when she noticed a man lying on the ground.
