Two Arrested In Connection With Paul Flowers Investigation

Officers investigating allegations made against former Co-op Bank chief Paul Flowers have arrested two men.

Police say that the arrests came as part of a "drugs supply investigation" and are connected to allegations made against 63-year-old Mr Flowers.

In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said: "As part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of drug supply offences made in a national newspaper, West Yorkshire Police have arrested two men aged 26 and 34.

"The 26-year-old was arrested at an address in the Thornton area of Bradford and the 34-year-old detained at an address in the Armley area of Leeds. They are being questioned at separate West Yorkshire Police Stations."

IPCC Ask North Yorkshire Police For Savile Review
North Yorkshire Police has been asked to review “all relevant material” relating to contact its officers had with Jimmy Savile. According to the BBC, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is acting "in light of information received" and said it wanted to know whether there were "conduct matters that should be referred to us".
