Royal Mail Missing Key Targets
Royal Mail has missed a number of key performance targets and must improve "important aspects" of its service, regulator Ofcom has said.
The postal service delivered 91.7% of first-class letters the day after being posted, falling short on its target of 93%.
Despite the failings highlighted, the regulator added that the recently-privatised Royal Mail was on a "stronger financial footing".
Last month, Royal Mail floated a 60% stake in the company on the London Stock Exchange.
