Police Search Bradford Home Of Paul Flowers

Police in West Yorkshire have searched the Bradford home of former Co-op Bank chairman Paul Flowers.

It is part of an ongoing investigation into allegations that Flowers, a Methodist minister, bought illegal drugs.

Mr Flowers is under investigation after he was filmed allegedly buying drugs.

The 63-year-old has apologised for the incident.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers executed a search warrant at an address in Hollingwood Lane, Great Horton, Bradford, yesterday [Tuesday] as part of their investigation into alleged drugs offences arising from a national Sunday newspaper story."

Former Co-op Bank Chairman Arrested
Paul Flowers, the former chairman of the Co-op Bank has been arrested after being filmed allegedly buying drugs. According to a report by the BBC, Flowers was arrested in Merseyside as part of a "drugs supply investigation". The footage of Mr Flowers allegedly shows him buy £300 worth of cocaine and discussing the purchase of other illegal drugs.

Now, Len Wardle has resigned from the board that appointed Mr Flowers, understood to have said it was "right" that he stepped down.

A Methodist minister and former bank chairman has been suspended after he was reported to have bought and used illegal drugs. Paul Flowers, 63, has apologised after The Mail on Sunday showed him handing over £300 for cocaine.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Brixton Drug Gang Get Long Sentences
A gang of criminals who ran a lucrative drug dealing network from a car tyre shop in Brixton were sentenced last week to a total of 81 years in prison. Nine men, who were previously convicted of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, appeared at Kingston Crown Court today to hear their sentences.
