Met Employee 79th Arrested By Operation Elveden
A 33-year-old female Metropolitan Police employee has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
The woman, who worked in Scotland Yard's call handling unit, was arrested at her home in Essex in connection with alleged corrupt payments to public officials.
She is the 79th person to be arrested by detectives from Operation Elveden, which is investigating allegations that journalists paid public officials for information.

Three people have been arrested as part of the investigation into inappropriate payments made to police and public officials. It is understood that two serving police officers and a journalist were arrested at their homes in Hertfordshire and Surrey by officers from Operation Elveden.

Prison Officer Arrested In Operation Elveden
Officers from the Operation Elveden investigation have arrested a serving prison officer. The 40-year-old man was arrested at 8.30am on Monday in Sittingbourne, Kent, on suspicion of conspiracy to cause misconduct in a public office. This is the 58th arrest by the Met's inquiry into payments from journalists to police and public officials.
