Stuart Hall In Court Charged With Rape

Veteran broadcaster Stuart Hall, 83, has appeared in court charged with 15 offences of rape relating to two girls.

He also faces charges of indecent assault.

Hall is currently serving a 30-month jail term for sexually abusing 13 victims over a period of 20 years.

He appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court to face the charges.

He listened in the dock as the charges were outlined to him. No pleas were entered.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Gunman's Ashes Scattered Near Rothbury
The ashes of 'fugitive' gunman Raoul Moat have been scattered by his family near the spot where he took his own life. Moat died on July 10 in Rothbury following a six-hour stand-off with police. He had been on the run after shooting his former girlfriend, killing her new boyfriend and shooting a police officer.

Man Faces Baby Murder Charge
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby girl. Craig Jamieson, 28, from Scotscoun, appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody. Mr Jamieson was arrested on Friday, shortly after the baby died in Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, after being taken from her home in Partick.

Footballer in court on assault charges
Premiership footballer Anton Ferdinand has appeared in court charged with assault and violent disorder. The West Ham defender and brother of Manchester United defender Rio was arrested following an incident outside the Faces nightclub in Ilford in east London last month.

Mobile Customers To Share £1m Refund
Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.
