Amber Wind Warning Issued For South Of England
An amber alert for wind has been issued for the south of England for the coming week.
The Met Office has warned that the coming storm could cause disruption in the south of England.
Expected heavy rainfall has also raised concerns over flooding.
The public in affected areas have been advised to "be prepared for the risk of falling trees as well as damage to buildings and other structures" caused by strong winds.
It is not currently known exactly when the bad weather might hit.

The largest ever expansion of renewable energy "anywhere in the world" has been announced today which aims to power more than one-in-six British households by 2010. The 15 new offshore wind farm sites will produce enough electricity for four million homes, the government said.

Flooding Disrupts Travel In South-East Of England
Road and rail services in the south-east of England have been severly disrupted by overnight flooding. Train are unable to travel between London and Brighton due to the flooding of a main line rail tunnel. And part of the A23 carriageway in Sussex has been closed.
