PM Announces Review Of Green Energy Taxes
A review of green energy taxes has been announced by the Prime Minister saying that they have helped push household bills to an "unacceptable" level.
David Cameron announced to MPs that environmental regulations and charges needed to be rolled back, alongside the establishment of a new competition test for suppliers.
In response, Labour leader Ed Miliband accused the PM of "changing his policy every day" and said that what was needed was a price freeze.

MPs Critical Of Ongoing UKBA Backlog
A backlog of unresolved immigration cases are still plaguing the UK Border Agency, according to MPs. The agency has supplied incorrect data for six years and former head Lin Homer "repeatedly misled" the Home Affairs Committee, the MPs said. Accusations Ms Homer, now the head of Revenue and Customs, said were unfair and untrue.

A new national curriculum is to be introduced in state schools in England, the government have announced, saying that the changes will help the school system "catch up" with the world's best. While the Prime Minister called the changes a "revolution in education", the move has received a mix response from others.

Serious violence-related injuries fell by 2% in England and Wales, despite the introduction of new licensing laws, a survey has found. The survey, by Cardiff University's Violence Research Group, studied data from 33 Accident and Emergency departments across England and Wales.
