Body Of Hamzah Khan Released For Burial
The body of Hamzah Khan has been released for burial, almost four years after he died.
The four-year-old's mummified body was found in his cot at his home in Bradford in 2011. A subsequent investigation found that he had died of starvation some time in December 2009.
The body was released to his father Aftab Khan.
Earlier this month, Hamzah's mother, 43-year-old Amanda Hutton, was jailed for 15 years for manslaughter by gross negligence.
Hutton also pleaded guilty to the neglect of Hamzah's five siblings, who also lived at the house and were aged between five and 13, and preventing the burial of Hamzah's body.
Hutton's eldest son, Tariq Khan, 24, also admitted preventing Hamzah's burial and received a two-year jail sentence, suspended for two years.
