Footballer Jailed For Two Separate Attacks
A footballer for Sheffield Wednesday has been jailed for 18 months after he was found guilty of two separate attacks.
Footballer Gary Madine, 23, punched Daniel Beresford in the Paris Bar in Sheffield in February 2012, breaking his nose.
In another attack he punched Reece Hall and shattered his cheekbone.
He will now automatically be sacked by Sheffield Wednesday.
He was sentenced to six months for Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) and 12 months for Grievious Bodily Harm (GBH).

A 13-year-old has sustained minor injuries after three shooting attacks occurred in the Parson Cross area of Sheffield on Monday night. Between 9.30pm and 11.10pm, officers were called to three separate reports of shots being fired at property in Barrie Crescent, Lindsay Avenue and Deerlands Avenue.

Marlon King, 28, who is on loan to Middlesbrough from Wigan Athletic, is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman at the Soho Revue Bar in Brewer Street, central London, on December 7.
