Scottish Debate To Mark One Year Until Referendum

A debate on the independence of Scotland will be held to mark one year until a referendum will ask: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"

The Scottish Parliament will hold the debate today, September 18, exactly one year ahead of the referendum.

It is claimed that independence will help Scotland thrive and become a successful nation.

Opponents to the move say that the current devolved parliament is "the best of both worlds".
