Stuart MacFarlane from Glasgow was sentenced to a three-year community payback order including 300 hours of unpaid work and ordered to accept all psychiatric and psychological input as directed and to attend a project to assist with sex offender rehabilitation.

Mr MacFarlane was found to have downloaded almost 15,000 images at his former family home in Eaglesham, East Renfrewshire.

In December 2012 and acting under a search warrant, police seized two laptop computers and an external hard drive from an outside shed at the property.
