Police Training Centre Fire Still Burning

A fire at an under construction police firearms training centre is still burning, more than 48 hours since it was deliberately started.

On Wednesday an anarchist group claimed responsibility for the blaze at the Black Rock Centre in Portishead.

It is understood that a number of small fires are continuing to burn under a collapsed roof at the site, with fire crews using special equipment to cut through thick walls.

Fire investigators will not be able to access the site until the fire is complete extinguished, Avon Fire and Rescue have said.
