Salvage Team Still Searching For Black Box

Experts are hoping to recover the black box recorder from a helicopter which crash landed in the North Sea on Friday, killing four people.

Three men and one woman died when a Super Puma AS332 L2 helicopter crashed into the sea as it carried 18 oil workers from the Borgsten Dolphin rig to Sumburgh Airport in Shetland.

Two of the 14 others rescued following the crash remain in hospital.

On Sunday, a salvage team recovered the fuselage but have been unable to locate the tail section, which contains the black box flight data recorder.

It is understood that specialist sonar equipment will now be used to try and locate the key piece of evidence.

Following the crash, representatives of the industry have agreed that all Super Puma helicopters will remain grounded with oil rig workers being transferred by boat.
