Bag Of Cash Found On Doorstep In York
A bin bag filled with thousands of pounds has been left on the doorstep of a house in York.
North Yorkshire Police will not reveal the exact amount of money that was in the bag which was handed into officers in York on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Andrea Kell, of York CID, said: "This is a very unusual find which remains unexplained and we would like to find out where the money came from and rule out any criminal connection."

Following an investigation into phone hacking claims at the News of the World David Cameron's Director of Communications, Andy Coulson, will not be facing criminal charges. Keir Starmer, Director of Public Prosecutions, said that no evidence existed to formally charge anyone.

Met Police To Re-Open Phone Hacking Inquiry
The Metropolitan Police is to examine new evidence regarding claims of phone-hacking by News of the World journalists. The new move follows claims by former News of the World reporter Sean Hoare that he had been told by the paper's former editor Andy Coulson - now Communications Director for Downing Street - to intercept phone messages.
