Pair Arrested Over North Wales Care Homes Abuse
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of indecent assault at children's homes in North Wales.
Officers linked to Operation Pallial, which is investigating historic abuse, arrested a man and a woman in Seaford, East Sussex.
The offences are claimed to have been committed between 1975 and 1976 to an 11-year-old boy.
The pair, aged 60 and 63, have been taken to a police station in Essex to be questioned.
The arrests are the sixth and seventh in the inquiry. One person has already been charged.

Housing Minister, Brandon Lewis, has published the final allocations of New Homes Bonus Payments to over 350 councils in England. The total awarded to councils since the scheme's introduction is£3.4 billion, for delivering more than 700,000 new homes and conversions, and bringing over 100,000 empty homes back into use.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.
