Car Stolen With Prescription Drugs Inside

Merseyside Police has warned the public to be vigilant following the theft of a car that contained a quantity of prescribed drugs from an address in Dovecot last week.

On Tuesday, 13 August, police received a report that a black Nissan Quashqai had been stolen from outside an address in Adcote Road.

Inside the vehicle were three preloaded syringes containing Cimzai.

An investigation into the theft is ongoing.

Pedestrian Hurt In Traffic Collision

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal following a collision between a car and an elderly pedestrian in Wollaston on Friday.

A red Honda Jazz was involved in the collision with the 87-year-old in Bridgnorth Road opposite the Aldi supermarket just before 14:55.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance with serious injuries.

Child Injured In Dog Attack

West Yorkshire Police were called to an address on Frank Street in Bradford at 19:26 on Sunday following reports that a 13-year-old boy had been bitten by a dog.

On arrival, officers were unable to get to the injured child, and armed officers had to shoot the dog to allow emergency services to attend to him.

The child was then taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

His condition has been described as stable.

Police Uncover £0.25m Drugs In Renfrewshire

Police Scotland officers have seized drugs valued at nearly a quarter of a million pounds during raids on properties in the Renfrewshire area.

At about 11.50pm on Friday, officers acting under warrant searched a commercial premises in Underwood Road, Paisley and dwelling houses in Blackwood Terrace, Johnstone; Houston Road, Inchinnan, and Earlshill Drive, Howood.

Drugs believed to be manufactured Valium (a Class C drug), with an estimated street value of £240,000 were recovered.

Three men, aged 48, 40 and 21 years, have been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the find.
