Nuts Mag To Refuse Co-Op 'Modesty Bag' Demand

One of the magazines given an ultimate by the Co-op, to either supply their magazine in modesty bags or be removed from their shelves, has said they will refuse the request and risk a potential fall in sales.

Nuts editor Dominic Smith told BBC's Newsbeat that he had been "shocked" when the supermarket chain announced its "astonishing ultimatum".

Last month the Co-op issued a deadline of September 9 for so-called 'lads mags' to supply their issues enclosed in "modesty bags" or face being removed from their shelves.

The titles targets include Nuts, Zoo and Front. Nuts are the only publication to respond to the Co-op.
