Third Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A third 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl in north-east London on Saturday 27 July.
Scotland Yard confirmed that the teenager was arrested on Saturday at an east London police station.
The young girl was led to a "secluded" area of a street in Walthamstow by three teenagers at 12:15am on Saturday night, before two of them attacked and raped her.
She managed to get away when she called a friend who came and helped her.
Two other 17-year-olds appeared in court on Saturday 3 August charged with rape.
One was remanded in custody and the other was given bail with conditions. Both are due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 21 August.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Raping 15-Year-Old
Police investigating the alleged rape of 15-year-old girl in a park in south-west London have made an arrest. It is understood police were called to Grove Park in Carshalton at about 20:30 on Saturday to reports of a rape. Officers investigating the incident have arrested a 26-year-old on suspicion of rape.

A jury has heard an 11-year-old describe how she was dragged into a north London park and subjected to three-hour ordeal during which she was repeatedly raped. The Old Bailey heard the girl was walking home when she was forced into Jubilee Park in Enfield last November. The court heard that her attacker to her to "stop moving or I will stab you".
