Two Injured In Music Festival Gas Explosion

Two people are believed to have been hurt in a gas explosion at the Camp Bestival site in Dorset.

A woman has been taken by air ambulance to a specialist burns unit in Bristol with what has been described as "life-changing" injuries.

A man was also taken by ambulance to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.

It is understood that a gas leak from a cooking stove may have ignited another cylinder nearby, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service investigators have said.

The fire service praised the quick action of other festival goers, who quickly doused the fire and tended to the injured until they arrived. Their actions were described as "invaluable".
