Ireland To Extradite Self Styled Separatist Hard-Liner To Scotland
A European arrest warrant has been issued for the self-appointed leader of a hard-line Scottish separatist group, who is wanted on charges in connection with threats to bomb bridges and poison waters supplies.
64-year-old Adam Busby, who describes himself as leader of the Scottish National Liberation Army, will now be extradited from Ireland, where he has lived since 1980.
Mr Busby's charges relate to incidents dating from 2009 to 2010, during which time he is alleged to have sent toxic substances to then prime minister Gordon Brown.
Mr Busby argued at the Dublin High Court that he should not be extradited as his alleged offences did not take place in the UK and that it violated his rights under European law to a family life.
He was remanded in custody pending his return to Scotland.
