Three Seriously Injured In M3 Minibus Crash

Three people have been seriously injured in a crash on the M3.

It is thought a minibus travelling on the southbound carriageway suffered a tyre blow-out, leaving three people with "life-threatening injuries" and six others, including two children, "walking wounded" according to police.

Police have said they believe at least two passengers were thrown from the bus when it overturned as it crossed the carriageway from the outside lane, and left the road.

Three of the injured were airlifted to Southampton General Hospital, and the others were transported by ambulance.

It is understood all the bus passengers are Romanian, and are in the UK on holiday.

Police said diversions have been put in place at junction five of the M3 southbound to direct vehicles onto the A30.
