WWII RAF Crew Give Military Burial 68 Years On
Some 68 years after they died, a WWII RAF Boston bomber crew have been buried in a war cemetery, with military honours.
The location of the remains of the three Britons and an Australian was unknown until an Italian team of amateur archaeologists discovered them near the city of Ferrara in 2011.
Newborn Baby Found On Worcester Doorstep
Police in Worcester have appeal for the mother of a newborn baby, left on a doorstep, to come forward.
The baby boy, named Joseph by the nurses now caring for him, was found on the doorstep of a house at around 04:30 am inside a hessian shopping bag.
The residents of the house found the baby after their doorbell was rung.
He is now being cared for at Worcestershire Royal hospital, which says he is healthy and looks as though he was born to term.
A 24-hour phone line has been set up by the hospital, in order for the mother to make contact.
LFB Tackling 21 Grass Fires Per Day
Firefighters in south London have been tackling a grass fire at Mitchem Common, an area around the size of four football pitches.
Fire crews were alerted to the blaze at around 12:30 on Thursday, and London Fire Brigade have said the fire is now under control.
LFB said its crews are dealing with 21 grass fires a day across London, compared to five a day last year.

Overnight Mountain Fire Deliberate - SWFS
Fire crews in South Wales worked through the night tackling a large wild fire in Caerphilly county. More than 700 acres of mountain in Wattsville, near Crosskeys, were affected by a fire, which the fire service believe was started deliberately. Twelve fire engines were on the scene, which sits above the Tata Steel Plant.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.

Firefighters in Glasgow have fought a blaze at a church in the city over night. Emergency services where alerted to the fire on Crossloan Road, Govan at about 22:30 on Sunday. Residents in a neighbouring four-storey tenement had to be evacuated during the incident, with a number of them put up in emergency accommodation.

So Solid Crew member gets four years
A member of one of the UK's most influential garage groups has been sent down for four years today after being convicted of possessing a loaded handgun. Twenty-four-year-old Jason Phillips, of So Solid Crew, was found to have dumped the gun after being challenged by a police officer in London on November 14/15 2002.

Bodies Recovered In Missing Trawler Search
Two bodies have been recovered from the sea in a search for a missing fishing trawler and its four crew members. An air and sea rescue operation was launched on Wednesday afternoon when the vessel was lost in rough seas and gale force winds. The search ended in the early hours of Thursday morning and resumed again at 10am yesterday.
