300 More UK Officers Sent To Belfast
Some 300 mutual aid officers from UK police forces are to be sent to Belfast following a fifth night of rioting in the city.
Trouble began on last Friday after an Orange Order parade was stopped from returning along part of the Crumlin Road in north Belfast.
With the lastest group being sent it brings the total number of mutual aid officers sent to NI to 1,300.
The first group to arrive, some 630 officers, have already returned, with 600 remaining to be joined by the latest additions.

Extra aid sent to tackle Liberia's humanitarian crisis
The government has committed another £4.7 million to help with the humanitarian crisis in Liberia – this brings the UK's total assistance to the country to £7.6 million for 2003. The funds will be allocated to UN agencies, non-government organisations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to respond to immediate humanitarian needs.

The UN has today appealed for desperately needed funds to fill a huge shortfall in aid for Sudan, which has seen mass displacement in the crisis-hit Darfur region, and a flood of refugees returning to its war-ravaged south.

Met Combine All Ongoing Historical Child Abuse Investigations
The Metropolitan Police has combined all ongoing investigations into historical child abuse, to be led by a newly formed investigation team under Detective Superintendent Ang Scott. The force said that is has decided to combine Operations Midland and Fairbank following the discovery of a number of people and locations common to both enquiries.

Four Arrested Over Denton Fight Death
Four people, including a 15-year-old male, have been charged with the murder of a man in Denton, Greater Manchester. Police responded to reports of a fight between a group of men on Manchester Road at about 3am on Sunday 07 June. When they arrived officers found a number of men fighting. Two men had suffered serious injuries.
