Wanted Man Arrested In London

The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested.

Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery.

Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

McLoughlin was on day release from prison, serving a sentence for murder.

Police Extend 'Dangerous' Man Hunt Nationwide
Police have put airports and ports on alert as the hunt for a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 66-year-old man in Hertfordshire on Saturday. 55-year-old John McLoughlin has been described as "dangerous" and is wanted in connection with the death of Graham Buck, who was killed after he intervened in a robbery at a neighbours house.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

The Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has officially opened Manchester Station after a £44 million upgrade. The modernisation of the station is part of a £1bn investment programme. Improvements include a new 8,500 sq m roof and a 60m bridge linking the station and the Manchester Area.

Convicted killer Ian John McLoughlin has pleaded guilty to the murder of Graham Buck, who died trying to help his neighbour in Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, in July. 55-year-old McLoughlin was on day release from prison when he fatally stabbed Graham Buck (66) in the neck.

Govt Considering Crossrail Extension To Hertfordshire
The UK Government is considering a proposed Crossrail extension to Hertfordshire, Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has announced. It has been claimed that extending the service reduces journey times between London and parts of Hertfordshire by up to 16 minutes.
