No Plans For Hosepipe Ban
Despite the continuing heatwave Water UK has no plans to introduce a hosepipe ban, the BBC has reported.
Water UK represents all the UKs major water companies and have reportedly said that reservoir levels are where they should be.
BBC Spend Over £5m On Savile Inquiries
Some £5 million has been spent by the BBC on three inquiries following the Jimmy Savile revelations.
The figure was revealed in the corporation's annual report.
The three reports include, the Pollard Report (£2.8m), which investigated Newsnight after it dropped a report on Savile, the Respect at Work Review by Dinah Rose QC and Dame Janet Smith's review into the culture and practices of the BBC during the Savile years will come out later this year. This includes a detailed investigation by Dame Linda Dobbs DBE into the conduct of Stuart Hall at the BBC.
The cost of all three inquiries up to 31 March 2013 was £5.3m (including tax and VAT) which will rise when final costs are announced.
Lynda Bellingham Diagnosed With Cancer
Actor and presenter Lynda Bellingham has been diagnosed with cancer, the BBC has reported.
The 65-year-old presenter on Loose Women has postponed a UK tour of Kay Mellor's play A Passionate Woman to have treatment. No further details of her condition have been made public.

Man Arrested As Part Of Savile Operation Yewtree
A man in his 60s has been arrested as part of the Jimmy Savile Operation Yewtree. The man, from London, is being questioned at a south London police station, following his arrest at 06.45am, on suspicion of sexual offences, according to the Metropolitan Police. The arrest is not connected to the allegations made against the late BBC presenter.

BBC Presenter Mark Speight Reported Missing
Children's TV presenter Mark Speight has been reported missing after failing to meet with a friend in Covent Garden, on Monday. The 42-year-old's fiancée, Natasha Collins, 31, died after taking cocaine, alcohol and sleeping pills at their home in St John's Wood, north-west London on 3 January.

Police Find Woman And Children In Refrigerated Lorry
Police in Bristol have discovered a woman and two children in the back of a refrigerated lorry. Avon and Somerset Police said the driver of the lorry reported hearing voices from inside the lorry. Police believe the woman and children were in the back of the lorry for two days before being discovered.
