Protesters Climbing London's Shard Building
Six protesters are climbing the Shard in central London, western Europe's tallest building.
Metropolitan police were called to the building at around 4.25am on Thursday morning. It is understood the protesters accessed the building via the roof of the nearby London Bridge Station.
Greenpeace have said the protesters are there to highlight Shell's Arctic drilling.
A BBC London 94.9 reporter, Jonathan Savage, reported from the scene that the climbers are scaling the building without assistance – known as free-climbing – and are on the edge of the building, which has a ladder-like structure.
