MoD UFO Investigation Desk Shut Down In 2009
The UFO desk of the Ministry of Defence ceased operation in 2009, newly released files have shown.
National Archives files of UFOs showed that the desk was closed as it served "no defence purpose" and was taking staff away from "more valuable defence-related activities".
Newcastle Midfielder Charged With Identity Fraud
Footballer Cheick Tiote, a midfielder with Newcastle United, has appeared in court to face five charges, including identity fraud.
He was arrested near the clubs training ground on 12 February.
It is alleged that he used a fake Belgian driving license to obtain a UK drivers license.
He was bailed to appear again on 05 July.
Two British Businessmen Freed From Cuban Jail After Two Years
The British Embassy in Cuba has confirmed the release of two British businessmen who faced charges in the country of corruption.
Amado Fakhre and Stephen Purvis, executive director and chief of operations respectively, from investment firm Coral Capital Group, were arrested in 2011.
The pair were held for two years.
It is not known why the two men have now been released.

Mobile Customers To Share £1m Refund
Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.
