International Drug 'Kingpin' Jailed For 18 Years

An international drug dealer has been jailed for 18-years in the UK following his extradition from Ireland.

58-year-old Philip Baron was charged in connection to the importation of almost £110 million worth of cocaine and cannabis.

Baron was allegedly the 'kingpin' of an international drug smuggling operation, which include shipping cocaine into the Uk from Spain.

Liverpool Crown Court heard that he was behind two shipments to the UK of some 60kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of £19.2 million, according to the Guardian.
