Cameron Tweets Success On G8 Talks Over Ransom Payments

The Prime Minister has tweeted about a successful agreement reached by the G8 leaders to end ransom payments to terrorists.

It is understood that Cameron pushed for the agreement in an effort to end a so-called 'funding stream' for extremists.

"Another #G8UK result: leaders agree to stamp out ransom payments to terrorists, calling on companies to follow lead," his tweet on the official Downing Street feed read.

The 8 world leaders are into the second day of talks at the summit being held at the Lough Erne Golf Resort in Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
