Call Centres Featured In BBC Programme Fined For Nuisance Calls

Fines for nuisance calls have been issued to two companies, which recently appeared in the BBC Three series the Call Centre.

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) issued a penalty of £125,000 to Nationwide Energy Services and one of £100,000 to We Claim You Gain, with the ICO saying these two incidents being the first that penalties were issued to relation to Payment Protection Insurance calls.

According to the BBC, both firms are decided to appeal their fines as not being an "appropriate course of action".

Both companies are part of Save Britain Money Ltd, which is based in Swansea.
