Post Office Workers To Strike Twice This Month

Over 4,000 post office staff will stage further strike action later this month in an ongoing dispute over the proposed closures of 76 high street branches.

The strike action on 20 and 29 June will be the sixth and seventh such protest since Easter. The dispute involves the planned franchise of a number of branches and the laying off of 1,500 staff.

It is understood that the strike is going ahead as no progress has been made in talks with management.
