Former NHS Employee Arrested By Operation Elveden

Officers from Operation Elveden have arrested a former NHS employee in connection with alleged inappropriate payments made by journalist.

The 52-year-old female was arrested at her home in Derbyshire and is being questioned on suspicion on suspicion of misconduct in a public office and corruption.

Her arrest brings the total number of people arrested by the Mets investigation into inappropriate payments, to 70. Those arrested include journalists, police officers, NHS staff and members of the armed forces.

Police investigating inappropriate payments from journalists have arrested two former NHS workers. A 46-year-old man, and 42-year-old woman were arrested at an address in Bridgwater, Somerset, this morning (Thursday) on suspicion of corruption and of conspiracy to cause misconduct in public office.

Two Police And Journalist Arrested By Operation Elveden
Three people have been arrested as part of the investigation into inappropriate payments made to police and public officials. It is understood that two serving police officers and a journalist were arrested at their homes in Hertfordshire and Surrey by officers from Operation Elveden.
