Men Arrested After Selfridges Smash-And-Grab Robbery

Two men were arrested following a smash-and-grab robbery at a Selfridges store on Oxford Street, central London around 20:30 on Thursday night.

The Guardian has reported witnesses claiming to have seen six men "with guns and motorcycles" carry out the raid on the department store.

It is understood from reports that as two of the suspected robbers made their escape on a moped, they crashed in the street and members of the public intervened to restrain the men until police arrived.

There were no reports of gunfire.
