10-Hour Siege In Leicestershire Village
A 37-year-old man has been arrested following a 10-hour siege in the village of Manston Close in Rushy Mead, Leicestershire.
According to the BBC, police responded to reports of gunshots just after 17:00 on Thursday.
Upon arrival they found a man had locked himself inside a house.
Following negotiations the man surrended himself to police around 03:00 and was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
During the incident local residents were asked to remain inside their homes and the road was closed.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Police investigating the disappearance of a landlady in Cambridgeshire in 1997 are digging up the patio of her former pub. Deborah Steel, 37, was landlady of the Royal Standard in Ely, Cambridgeshire, when she disappeared on 28 December 1997. Police have said that Ms Steel's disappearance is now being treated as a murder investigation.

Seven Arrested On Suspicion Of Terrorist Fundraising
Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of terrorist financing offences, according to the Metropolitan Police. They were arrested at four separate addresses in London, Cardiff and Coventry at approximately 6am on suspicion of being concerned in the funding of a terrorist organisation, and laundering the proceeds of crime for that purpose.
