Rebekah Brooks Denies All Charges As Trial Gets Underway

Former News International chief executive, Rebekah Brooks, has pleaded not guilty to all charges in relation to the phone-hacking scandal at the defunct News of the World.

At Southwark Crown court, Mrs Brooks, her husband Charlie and nine other defendants all pleaded not guilty to charges connected to phone-hacking, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and unlawful payments to officials.

The charges brought against Brooks relate to three separate police investigations.

The trial continues.

Rebekah Brooks Faces Charges In Court
Rebekah Brooks, the ex-News International chief executive, will appear in court today to face three charges of conspiring to pervert the course of justice. Her husband, Charlie Brooks, and four former colleagues face one charge each of the offence and are also appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court.

Rebekah Brooks, Andy Coulson and six others will face a total of 19 charges relating to phone hacking, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has said. The former News of the World editors will be charged in connection with the accessing of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler's phone messages.

Woman Admits Killing Three Men In Cambridgeshire
A woman has admitted murdering three men in Cambridgeshire. The bodies of Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, Kevin Lee, 48, and John Chapman, 56, were found in ditches. Joanna Dennehey, 31, from Peterborough pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey earlier today. The bodies were discovered in March and April.
