Former Corrie Actor On Trial For Sexual Assault

The trial of former Coronation Street actor Andrew Lancel has heard how he lured a boy into his bedroom to sexually assault him, the BBC has reported.

It is alleged that Lancel (42), whose real name is Andrew Watkinson, at age 15 sexually assault the victim, now 35-years-old, after he lured him into a bedroom by offering to help with a sleep deprivation problem.

The actor denies six counts of indecent assault of a child under the age of 16.

The trial at Liverpool Crown Court continues.
