Brian Farmer Murder - Three Charged

Three people have been charged with the murder of former soldier Brian Farmer in Yardley, Birmingham last year.

64-year-old Mr Farmer was found dead by police at his flat in Bakeman House on Coventry Road on Saturday 19 May, 2012.

Police arrested three people in connection with the murder a short time after the discovery.

Last night, detectives charged an 18-year-old man from Lincolnshire, a 40-year-old woman from Birmingham and a 48-year-old man from Birmingham with murder and false imprisonment.

All three appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.

Mr Farmer was born in Birmingham and lived alone at the flat in Bakeman House.

He had spent 22 years in the army, serving with the Queen’s Own Royal Irish Hussars in Northern Ireland and The Gulf before retiring as a Mess Sergeant.

Sister And Partner Charged With Murder Over Baby Death
Two people have been charged with murder over the death of a one-year-old baby in Birmingham. Santino Balaz, aged 14 months, a Czech national, who was living in Brighton Road, Balsall Heath, died at Birmingham Children's Hospital on 1 January 2015, following an emergency call to the ambulance service at 3.45pm.

Three remanded over Birmingham riot stabbing
Three men accused of killing a man during violent disturbances in Birmingham have been remanded in custody. The three men – Waqar Ahmed, 25, and Azhil and Afzal Khan, both 22 – who are all from Handsworth, have also been accused of wounding with intent. Azhil Khan has also been charged with firearms offences.

Man Charged With Taxi Murder
A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a mother-of-three in a taxi in Birmingham. 22-year-old Natasha Trevis died shortly before 08:00am on Tuesday in the city's Northfield area after being attacked by her male companion in the taxi they were travelling in. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
