Dale Cregan Admits Father And Son Murder

Dale Cregan has admitted killing father and son, Mark (23) and David (46) Short, when he changed his plea at the last minute at Preston Crown Court.

Cregan had previously admitted killing two policewoman, PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes, in Hattersley, Greater Manchester in September last year, but had maintained that he had not killed Mark and David Short.

According to the Guardian, Cregan changed his plea today (Wednesday) ahead of his barristers closing speech.

Details from the trial and possible sentence are yet to be revealed.

Convicted Police Murderer Dale Cregan Moves To Secure Hospital
The man jailed for the murder of two police officers has been moved from Strangeways prison in Manchester to the maximum-security Ashworth Hospital. 30-year-old Dale Cregan was given a whole-life sentence for the murders of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes as well as father and son David and Mark Short.
