Met Mount 'Largest Ever' Raid Operation
The Metropolitan Police have carried out co-ordinated raids at some 75 addresses across London, arresting 52 people.
Over 1,000 officers took part in the raids, which targeted burglars and drug offenders.
The Met worked alongside Tower Hamlets Council and other specialist police teams in what was described as the largest ever "pre-planned single arrest operation".
A police statement said items a large number of stolen items were recovered.
All those arrested are currently being held at police stations across London.
The investigation continues.

A firm that made this year's Olympic torches has been accused of employing illegal immigrants from India. The Sun newspaper reported today that border officers and police held nine men after a raid on Crown Polishing and Plating in Wolverhampton. The company now faces prosecution and a hefty fine.

Police shoot man during anti-terror raid
Police have shot a man during an anti-terrorism raid in east London. The 20-year-old man was shot during the raid at a property in Forestgate in the early hours of Friday morning. He was taken to the Royal London hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. He was later arrested in hospital.

Two Arrested Over Delivery Man Murder
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Thavisha Lakindu Peiris, who was killed while making his final pizza delivery before starting a new job. Mr Peiris (25) was found dead in his car in Sheffield on Sunday, He had been stabbed in the chest.
