Arrests Made Following Football Violence

Two men have been arrested in connection with violence during the FA Cup semi-final held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Fourteen people were arrested, twelve of which were identified as Millwall fans and two as Wigan supporters.

Det Ch Insp Andy Barnes said: "The violence seen at the Millwall v Wigan FA Cup fixture over the weekend is completely unacceptable.

"A significant investigation is now under way to identify all involved in order to bring them to justice in a swift and robust manner."

43-year-old Terance Cape, of Peckham, south-east London, was charged with racially aggravated behaviour.

And 53-year-old Richard Freeman, of St Neots, Cambridgeshire, was charged with breaching bail conditions.

Football fans arrested after World Cup qualifier violence
Twenty-eight people have been arrested in connection with an investigation into violence following a World Cup qualifier game at Old Trafford in Manchester last October. Seven police forces were involved in a series of dawn raids this morning in Staffordshire, Lancashire, the West Midlands, Humberside, Cheshire, Hampshire and Nottinghamshire.

New LGBT Domestic Violence Service Launched
A new domestic violence service for the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) community has been launched by Birmingham Community Safety Partnership (BCSP). The new service, the first of its kind in the Midlands, hopes to encourage members of the LGBT community to seek help, BCSP said.
