PM Vows To Tackle Cheap Supermarket Alcohol
Cheap alcohol will be dealt with, David Cameron has assured MPs.
The PM’s comments follow reports claim the government has ditched plans for 45p per unit minimum alcohol pricing.
With Cameron saying the government has to consider the outcome of a consultation, he told MPs that sales of "20p cans of lager" had "got to change".
He told MPs: "There is a problem with deeply discounted alcohol in supermarkets and other stores and I am absolutely determined that we will deal with this".
