UKs Most Successful Jazz Musician Dies

Jazz trumpeter Kenny Ball has died at the age of 82.

Britain's most successful jazz musician was suffering from pneumonia.

He had a string of hits in the sixties and seventies and was behind music on television shows like Morecambe and Wise.

Clarinettist Acker Bilk paid tribute: "I've done so many gigs with Kenny it's not true. Every night with Kenny was different. He was a good lad, with a good sense of humour and a lot of fun to be with."

Musician Trevor Ward-Davies Dies Aged 70
Musician Trevor Ward-Davies, founding member and bass player of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, has died at the age of 70. Better known as Dozy, Mr Ward-Davies helped found the 60s pop group, which spent more weeks in the UK singles charts than the Beatles. It is understood Mr Ward-Davies died in hospital on Tuesday following a short illness.
